Jon W. Newcomer brings more than 30 years experience in diverse tax, financial and business consulting experience to his role as a Certified Public Accountant. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from Georgia State University in 1984. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jon has gained extensive accounting experience through his prior tenures at both of the international firms of Price Waterhouse and KPMG. Jon was also employed by Hickson, PLC, a British conglomerate as Controller to facilitate their acquisition of a US based chemical company. His work there included the design and implementation of their US accounting system and operations. Mr. Newcomer did various consulting for other international as well as domestic entities.
In 1994 Jon founded Jon W. Newcomer, CPA, P.C. a full service accounting firm in Cumming, Georgia. For over twenty years Jon has been dedicated to helping clients achieve business success by helping them establish practical and sound tax and financial processes. Focused on service Jon is committed to delivering tax and financial services that meet each client's unique objectives.
Jon W. Newcomer's involvement in the community has been extensive as he has served as the treasurer, chairman and board member of organizations ranging from his local church, Horizon Christian Academy a local private school, a faith based charity assisting women in overcoming substance abuse problems as well as the Camp of Colors, Georgia Mountains Tres Dias and Georgia Mountain Vida Nueva. He also participated in the Leadership of Forsyth program and served on the Forsyth County Board of Education redistricting committee.
He resides in Cumming, Georgia with his wife Debbie and has two adult children residing in the Atlanta area. In his spare time, Jon loves snow skiing and cooking.
